For many years now, Konkani literature, language and unity have suffered great injustice at the hands of a few manipulators who have successfully managed to capture all power centres, usurp and appropriate every benefit accruing to Konkani, for themselves, and with the help of every trick in the book, have ridden roughshod over the entire Konkani movement. Because of the manipulative brilliance of this minority and the slavish mentality of the majority, Konkani has suffered immensely for long.
To take stock of the situation and decide on the remedial measures to be taken – Jago’tik Konknni So’ngho’tto’n has convened a Conference on ‘Equal Rights for all Scripts of Konkani’, on March 13, 2016, at Kalaangann, Mangalore, at 10 a.m. All those who value self-respect and the good of Konkani at heart, are invited to attend this Conference.

‘ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಲಿಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು’ – ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ – ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 13 ರಂದು
ಕೆಲವೇ ಕೆಲವು ಮಂದಿ ಇಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೆ – ತಮ್ಮ ಲಿಪಿಯೆನ್ನೇ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಸಿದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿಗೆ ಸಿಗುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಇತರ ಲಿಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಿದರು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟನ್ನು ತರುವುದರ ಬದಲು, ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿರುಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಠಿಸಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇತರ ಲಿಪಿಗಳ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅರಳದಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿದರು. ಮತ್ತೀಗ, ‘ದೇವನಾಗರಿ ಲಿಪಿ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇತರ ಲಿಪಿಗಳೇ ಇಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಷ್ಟರ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದರು.
ಈ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಗಂಭೀರತೆಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಹುಡುಕುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಜಾಗತಿಕ್ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಂಘಟನ್, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 13, 2016ರಂದು, ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10ರಿಂದ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 1ರ ವರೆಗೆ, ಕಲಾಂಗಣ, ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ‘ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಲಿಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು’ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ. ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಇರುವವರು, ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿ ವಿನಂತಿ.
