May 8, 2017: Mandd Sobhann in association with MCC Qatar had organized a 9 days’ residential camp for Konkani Children, at Kalaangann, from April 29 to May 7, 2017. The Camp, titled KONKANI SUGANDH (meaning ‘Konkani Fragrance’) was inaugurated by Ms. Nishel Flora D’Almeida, a young achiever, who won the first place as the Best NCC Cadet of Karnataka and Goa Directorate and who was selected in the All India Cultural Team and performed Yakshagana at Delhi, in the presence of the honourable Prime Minister of India, on April 29. 49 children had participated in the camp, in which children were trained in Singing, Dance, Theatre and Konkani.
The Camp concluded with the grand Closing Ceremony on Sun., May 7, at Kalaangann, at 6 p.m..
Konkani Cine Artiste, Ms. Ranjitha Lewis, was the Chief Guest. She congratulated the children for having participated in the camp and also advised them to make use of all opportunities that they get to showcase their talents.

On behalf of all the participants, Ashil Mascarenhas & Jia Menezes shared their experiences of the camp. Ms. Ranjitha Lewis distributed Certificates to all the 49 participants. The best in each category – Dealle D’Souza (Singing), Navisha Lobo (Dance) and Ashil Mascarenhas (Theatre) – were honoured with a Certificate, a bouquet, a set of books published by Mandd Sobhann and a cash prize of Rs. 2,000/- each. Jason Lobo of the Singing Section bagged the Best Camper Award and was honoured with a Certificate, a bouquet, a set of books published by Mandd Sobhann and a cash prize of Rs. 3,000/-. The trainers of the camp were also honoured on this occasion by Smt. Apoline Noronha, the mother of Shri Prakash Noronha, President of MCC Qatar. Shri Louis J. Pinto & Shri Kishore Fernandes, President & Secretary of Mandd Sobhann, respectively, and, Shri Eric Ozario, the Camp Director – were also present on stage.
The children then presented Songs, Dances and a Play at the 185th Monthly Theatre – ‘Bhurgyanlem Sobhann’, which followed thereafter. 2 songs composed by the children of the camp – Ian Neil Pinto and Jason Lobo, were also presented.
Smt. Irine Rebello compered the Concluding Ceremony, while Vishal Pinto & Diya Mascarenhas (both children of the Camp) compered the Monthly Theatre.

‘ಕೊಂಕ್ಣಿ ಸುಗಂಧ್’ - ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭ
ಮಾಂಡ್ ಸೊಭಾಣ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಎಮ್. ಸಿ. ಸಿ. ಖತಾರ್ ಇವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ 2017 ಎಪ್ರಿಲ್ 29 ರಿಂದ ಮೇ 7ರ ವರೆಗೆ ‘ಕೊಂಕ್ಣಿ ಸುಗಂಧ್’ - ಎಂಬ 9 ದಿನಗಳ ವಸತಿ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಕಲಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಗೋವಾ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಎನ್.ಸಿ.ಸಿ. ಕ್ಯಾಡೆಟ್ ಆಗಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಖಿ¯ ಭಾರತ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿ, ಭಾರತದ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ದೆಲ್ಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ, ಕುಮಾರಿ ನಿಶೆಲ್ ಫೆÇ್ಲೀರಾ ಡಿ’ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ, ಎಪ್ರಿಲ್ 29 ರಂದು ಈ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಗಾಯನ, ನೃತ್ಯ, ನಾಟಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಲಾದ ಈ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ 49 ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ರವಿವಾರ, ಮೇ 7ರಂದು, ಸಂಜೆ 6ಕ್ಕೆ, ಕಲಾಂಗಣ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಜರುಗಿತು.
ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಕಲಾವಿದೆ, ಕುಮಾರಿ ರಂಜಿತಾ ಲುವಿಸ್, ಇವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು, ಅಂತೆಯೇ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಸಿಗುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಶಿಬಿರದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಆಶಿಲ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಿಯಾ ಮಿನೇಜಸ್, ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ 49 ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಮಾರಿ ರಂಜಿತಾ ಲುವಿಸ್ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿನ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ – ಡೀಯಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ (ಗಾಯನ), ನವೀಶಾ ಲೋಬೊ (ನೃತ್ಯ) ಹಾಗೂ ಆಶಿಲ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್ (ನಾಟಕ) – ಇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ, ಹೂಗುಚ್ಛ, ಮಾಂಡ್ ಸೊಭಾಣ್ ಪ್ರಕಾಶನದ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ತಲಾ ರು. 2,000/- ನಗದು ನೀಡಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ಜೇಸನ್ ಲೋಬೊ ಇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ, ಹೂಗುಚ್ಛ, ಮಾಂಡ್ ಸೊಭಾಣ್ ಪ್ರಕಾಶನದ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ರು. 3,000/- ನಗದು ನೀಡಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಿಬಿರದ ತರಬೇತುದಾರರನ್ನು ಎಮ್. ಸಿ. ಸಿ. ಖತಾರ್ ಇದರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಇವರ ತಾಯಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಆಪೆÇಲಿನ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾಂಡ್ ಸೊಭಾಣ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಲುವಿ ಜೆ. ಪಿಂಟೊ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಬಿರದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎರಿಕ್ ಒಝೇರಿಯೊ – ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ನಂತರ 185ನೇ ‘ಮ್ಹಯ್ನ್ಯಾಳಿ ಮಾಂಚಿ’ (ತಿಂಗಳ ವೇದಿಕೆ) – ‘ಭುರ್ಗ್ಯಾಂಲೆಂ ಸೊಭಾಣ್’ – ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಗಾಯನ, ನೃತ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಿರುನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಶಿಬಿರದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಇಯಾನ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಹಾಗೂ ಜೇಸನ್ ಲೋಬೊ ರಚಿಸಿದ 2 ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಾದರಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಐರಿನ್ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊರವರು ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ ವಿಶಾಲ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಹಾಗೂ ದಿಯಾ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್ ‘ಮ್ಹಯ್ನ್ಯಾಳಿ ಮಾಂಚಿ’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.
